Since the launch of botulinum toxin type A Meditoxin® in 2006 (trade name: Neuronox®, Siax®, Botulift®, Cunox®, Acebloc® and Meditoxin®), Medytox has shown a dramatic growth. Medytox reached nearly 40% of market share in Korea since 2009 and is expected to increase even further with various indications being included.
With the goal of penetrating to the US and Europe markets, we plan to exceed 10% of the global market share along with the launch of the currently developing new type botulinum toxin products. Hello. I am Hyunho Jung, CEO of Medytox.
As the first botulinum toxin product developer in Korea, we feel a sense of pride and responsibility for leading this industry. By pushing for presenting more objective and scientific guideline, we are leading in the efforts to make Korean biopharmaceutical industry more transparent and competitive.
Also, with continual in-house R&D, we are the only company in the world to develop three different types of botulinum toxin products—Meditoxin, INNOTOX, and CORETOX—each with its own unique strengths. Along with these products, Medytox has introduced a synergistic hyaluronic acid filler NEURAMIS and the world's first cholic acid-based injection for submental fat reduction NUVIJU with its exclusive technology, successfully solidifying the new pipeline.
As a young global biopharmaceutical company established in 2000, we set a goal of entering the top 20 list of global biopharmaceutical companies. Going forward, Medytox will strive to tackle the advanced markets and to directly penetrate and expand into the emerging markets.
